At Academix Learning, our mission is to support at risk learners to gain qualifications, vital life experience and effective support with any additional needs.
We have a vast curriculum available, based around sports and immersive experiences, that allows learners to access opportunities they wouldn't normally receive whilst completing qualifications that can set them up for life.
Our staff are highly experienced in trauma informed practice and have a firm belief in adapting provision to suit each individuals needs.
All of our curriculums and provisions are child-centered, working with the schools to ensure effective education and support is provided including support with re-integration into mainstream school.
Our Primary pupils are able to access immersive learning, whilst completing their mainstream curriculum in an environment and pace that suits their needs and abilities.
Pupils can develop their own additional curriculum, based around their passions. These include sports, arts, horticulture and animal care.
Our staff are trained in a wide range of therapies, including Lego Therapy, Art Therapy, and Thrive.
With a wide range of qualifications, a high quality gym, and a huge outdoor space with both sports and horticultural opportunities, our setting is perfect for those secondary pupils who struggle within the mainstream setting.
Pupils are able to access their Maths & English, whilst also completing training and qualifications linked to their passions and goals. Activities to build life skills and resilience, allow them to develop into independent adults and reintegrate into the mainstream setting.
Our specialist team can provide schools with support and training, such as shadowing, action plans and Team Teach support.
In addition to creating learning opportunities for our pupils, we also provide qualifications and training for adults. Ranging from short courses & CPD right through to Apprenticeships, we can provide the training that's right for you.
Our specialised provision is built with the sole purpose of supporting those who are at risk of permanent exclusion, due to continuously struggling with accessing mainstream education.
We use a mixture of alternative learning styles, hands-on experiences and sports based learning, to allow the pupils to engage in a way that suits their needs and abilities. All pupils have access to a pathway, bespoke to their interests and needs, allowing them to achieve a nationally recognised qualification that will allow them to achieve their career aspirations. We also provide all learners with Maths & English qualifications.
Our staff work with schools to really understand each individual and agree together the best way to support each and every one of our pupils. Our reporting systems and regular communications with schools, also ensure that the registered setting responsible for the pupil is continuously helping to shape the support given.
We will work with schools to support with their own offers (see below), and our ultimate goal is to successfully re-integrate the learners back into full-time mainstream education.
We are also developing our role as a truancy hub! Drop us a message to find out more.
Our specialised team will come into your setting to demonstrate best practice for supporting the learners that are at risk of exclusion. We can provide you with simple changes in practice to ensure your days are more successful.
We will work with staff to put action plans in place, including training and good practice, to allow successful support for pupils. Ongoing support will be provided to reflect and adapt as needed. Training such as Team Teach can also be provided if needed.
We can provide support with referrals, such as CAMHS and EHCP. We can help with reports and panels that can influence further additional support needed for your pupils within setting.
Not only can we provide children and school staff with direct support, linked to a particular individual, we can also provide your whole staff with upskilling.
We offer a wide range of qualifications and CPD - not purely school & education based. Short courses, evening CPD, networking and even Apprenticeships can be provided in a wide range of subjects.
