Provision Manager & Designated Safeguarding Lead

Charlotte brings extensive experience within alternative provision and a strong background in education. She is kind, caring and nurturing, with a natural ability to build positive and trusting relationships with our pupils.

Charlotte brings warmth and fun to Academix and is fantastic at helping young people feel comfortable, understood and valued. She knows when to provide encouragement, when to listen and when to challenge, always keeping the individual pupil at the heart of her approach.

As our Provision Manager and DSL, Charlotte plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of Academix, pupil wellbeing and safeguarding, helping to create the safe, positive and welcoming environment that our pupils thrive in.

HLTA 

Amie is a qualified teacher with a strong background in education and a real passion for supporting young people who may find traditional education challenging.

She is caring, thoughtful and patient, taking the time to understand each pupil and adapt her approach to help them engage and succeed.

Amie is particularly skilled at building confidence in pupils who have struggled with mainstream learning, creating lessons that are engaging, accessible and purposeful while maintaining high expectations. She is committed to helping every pupil recognise their strengths and make meaningful progress.

Director & Headteacher

Rachel brings many years of experience in education, with a range of qualifications and experience working with children and young people of different ages, abilities and needs.

She is kind, caring and approachable, with a strong belief that behaviour is a form of communication and that every behaviour has a need behind it. Rachel takes the time to understand each pupil and build genuine, positive relationships based on trust and respect.

As both Director and Headteacher, Rachel remains actively involved in the day-to-day life of Academix. You will often find her in the classroom, supporting pupils and working alongside the team, rather than simply leading from behind a desk.

She believes that being visible, approachable and involved is an important part of knowing the pupils, understanding the provision and ensuring that learning really does start with understanding.
